Why No Grape Nuts Cereal In Thailand?

It is my understanding that Grape Nuts cereal is not sold anywhere in Thailand. I know lots of Americans like it; is it also known in the UK/Europe? I have switched to muesli which I like alot as well, but sure would be nice to have some grape nuts. There are no grapes or nuts in it, so there.

Villa on Sukhumvit 49 near Samitivej has Grape Nuts - so I assume the other Villas will probably have Grape Nuts in stock as well.

Come to Pattaya ... for the Grape Nuts!

Yesterday I bought Grape Nuts at Villa on Sukumvit Soi 21.

The smaller sized box, 165 baht.

I'd never actually heard of it before, but after reading this thread I was curious enough to try it when I next saw it. I think it's like a cross between All bran and rocks. :o

as I remember, GrapeNuts combined well with flavored, sweetened yogurt...something to think about as one admires the box on the supermarket shelf. Gonna go get me sum from the Danube superstore corner of Thalia St and King Fahd St. in Jeddah when I get home from work...maybe it'll help to keep me offa the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups that are sold in the convenience store on the housing compound where I live... :o

I just bought some berry burst cheerios at Villa market soi 11 (suk of course). 320 a box though. I snatched the last buy one get one free as they were flushing out soon to expire product. they had regular and some other varieties of them as well. tasty stuff but not 320 baht tasty. I will check for grape nuts next time. It wouldnt surprise me if they had it for a price. they have a lot of imported cereal including Post products

A strange moment of clarity accompanies the rare occasions when I buy cereal. Just plopping the box of Apple Jacks down on the counter and knowing I'm about to fork over about $10 is enough to keep me from doing it too often. It's not that I can't afford it, it just seems so dam_n bizarre. Apple Jacks are a LUXURY GOOD here and that's a frightening (if intuitive) concept.

Cereal is expensive here. I have found a way to stretch it that is actually quite tasty.

3 tablespoons Grape Nuts

3 tablespoons unsweetened corn flakes

2 tablespoon flaxseed

1 tablespoon unsalted pumpkin seed

honey to taste

sliced banana

milk

Really good actually, and doesn't use much cereal. People who like the crunch crunch of grape nuts would probably also like the crunch crunch of the seeds. I know I do. Also a great anti-oxidant fix and prostate booster for the menfolk.
