best place for decent price avocados?

Featured Replies

At 70 baht for one, avocado is expensive, any body please recommend any place where can buy decent avocados for less?

Thanks in advance

You might gleen some info from this already open topic. Where are you, I think is Pattaya related.

Just bought a bag, about a kilo, at Sukhumvit soi 55 Thonglor Top supermarket, 99 baht although they're not the Hass variety, still, not too bad...

thanks to both, I am looking at all major cities.   can I ask the one in Tops do you have to wait a while for them to ripen up? not that that is a problem, but I am assuming they are the bag of light green unripe ones.  Very good price

There are only two things better about living in California than Thailand: the weather and inexpensive Hass avacodos. ?

When it's Avocado season you can order them online, there are farmers who sell them there directly. My ex GF did this maybe 2 years ago, can't remember the details anymore, but was quite cheap compared to the supermarket price and everything was fine. Just Google for it.

thanks, good tip.  Says season starts in July.  Anyone know when it ends?   Apparently Thais generally don't like to eat Avocados/.
