My experience is most faulty items can be returned for exchange in 7 days.  After that send out for repair or replace (I have gotten both) as long as the warranty (with receipt) is still valid.   Re-iPhone:  warranty will spell out what parts are covered for what period.  The 4000 baht cost might be for items no longer covered or parts that were never covered.

Samsung honoured the official warranty on my phone purchased here. I had two repairs done in the first year.

But that was the Samsung service centre, not the shop that sold it. Shops are useless for warranty issues here. At best they just send the item to the manufacturer.

Afaik Apple products sold in Thailand have the normal 1 year Apple warranty, so should be no big problem to get something fixed if the device is faulty. Of course you have to take it to an "Apple Care" store or an Apple store that offers Apple Care services (not all do, some just sell products)

I once bought a Laptop from JIB and i discovered a defect after a few days. They have a 7 days return policy, was no problem to return it. I could choose between money back or another Laptop.
