I wonder & ask what business they are involved in? I never seen any if my business associates wearing gold or carrying so much valuables during their business trips etc.

What were they doing with so many Rolex especially and gold items unless that is the business they are doing, how about work permits???

Doesn't the door on the safe look like it was damaged after the door was open?

i thought this also.

especially consider the quality of Thai made screwdrivers if you ever try to use them.

anyone seriously believe you can pry open a safe with those screwdrivers and they dont bend?

stinking pile of BS if you ask me

i would say more to truth:

1. insurance job

2. this stuff was being "held" by others for safekeeping for some influential figure.

for sure others had to know about the stuff

unless they paraded the the goodies around for all to see to get big face,

which would only be the idiotic kind of thing thing certain others would do

If you're going to buy a safe, buy an expensive one.

Where?  It's almost impossible to find a quality safe here.  They have a huge selection of cheap safes that are over-priced and poor quality.  You can spend a lot of money on a safe, but that doesn't mean that it's even moderately secure.

Police have yet to check fingerprints and footage from security cameras in the area to conduct an investigation.

They said they left the house at 7.30pm on Friday for a business and returned to find their house had been broken into.

A Micronesian investigation where they soon find out that they didn't have a work permit? ?

In Thailand, money is the work permit.

w-p need a small update now ?

Rolex made in "China town thief market" ? 555+++

Surely do hope the serial numbers were reported to Rolex already so I can check their website and do not buy a contraband Rolex when going to PP tonight.

Marshal Islands

At least one for the collection and nice diversion from the usual crowds.

Must be a major percentage of all business men from this tiny island state (smaller in size than the inner city of Bangkok, 72000 people).

Do they really want to make believe that this safe was opened with two screwdrivers?

They should really have invested in a crowbar and sledgehammer.

Very dubious story.

It would be interesting to read what these individuals were doing with all those valuables left in a cheap safe in a rented apartment.

28 Rolex watches maybe of interest to a certain individual?

28 Rolex valued at 4,2m/thb means an average price of 150.000THB/each - a quite healthy return if they where replicas which it seems to be and  I doubt a "certain individual" would have interest in those....:coffee1:

If those 2 tiny screwdrivers are supposed to be the Tools opening this kind of safe then arrest the businessmenn - case closed - NeXT...:coffee1:

RE - They said they left the house at 7.30pm on Friday for a business

I assume that it was one of the "replica Rolex" that showed that time and does it 2 times a day every day….:coffee1:

Have 3 individuals & 28 Rolex watches!!

Perhaps they borrowed them from a certain friend !!

Borrowing watches seems to happen a bit here in Thailand!!

I think at next the tax departement come inside this case and check out they bought the watches here or brought they to thailand and declared it.

Insurance set up for sure, and I would imagine they are there on an incorrect Visa as well. The police who are smart will work this one swiftly

So they have all this expensive bling and yet they rent a house that is a dump by the look of it !!

The pipework for the air con is ran along the wall ?

I wouldn't be surprised if the guy had got dressed up smart and went to a gold shop just to ask to try on a few bits of expensive gold pretending he was rich and interested in buying them. He would have then taken several pics of them as if it was his and I bet he would have shown them to the cops to say this was what was stolen.
