Angered by Facebook post over house bills, man stabs, kills landlord’s relative

PHUKET: Outraged by a Facebook post calling him out to pay utility bills, a man on Saturday (May 26) stabbed and killed a relative of the landlord of the property the man had lived in for years.

 

The suspect, Wachara Plekpon 25, from Trang, surrendered himself at Cherng Talay Police Station at 9pm on Saturday night, some five hours after the murder.

 

Capt Ronnapoom Permpoon of the Phuket City Police was notified of stabbing, at a house in Soi Bangsan 2, Rassada, at 4pm.

Sadly you might be correct. He will almost immediately be granted bail and the case will just 'disappear' in the system.  

Just because there mightn't be any more in the English language press about it doesn't mean nothing will come of it.  He will go through the courts and be sentenced to a lengthy jail term.

post 12 and you believe this do you, a couple of years ago a guy raped and killed a girl and her friend saw him walking the streets 6 months after, and as usual jack shit was done about it, been living under a stone have we

Might get to court. Much depends on if he can settle the family's 'blood' money and pay off the police.  Also what influential connections he has. Even if found guilty he can appeal for ever, while still walking about free. It's a corrupt legal system. I have had a taste of it (as a witness in court) . Not nice or fair.
