webfact
Thai cops ordered: No more Facebook while on duty - or else! Picture: Manager online Cops in the south of Thailand have been told that they are to stop using social media while they are on duty. If they fail to comply they face probation, at the very least. The order came from the chief of the Khao Chaison station in Phatthalung. A letter banning Facebook, Line and email was shown on the page "Police News Varieties". The ban mentions no social media is allowed between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm. Cops need to be doing their honorable duty serving the public good at all times - not using social media. Popular Post darksidedog
I guess that means then that anyone selling drugs or pornography through Facebook, can now expand operations. It seems the cops can no longer check up on them. Oh, the cops won't know what to do with themselves, will be like a lost puppy, running in circles.

I do think that it means that the Police cannot use FB socially . They can still probably use it for investigations and surveillance

Just means if they cant use facebook or line they play a game on their phones. But rest easy drivers you can still drive like idiots because the RTP won't bother you

Was going to say the same, or roadside coffee hideaways, or daytime BBQs behind the barracks. They should carry police issue equipment only. Not sure if the little notepad and pencil to record payments, comes under this...
