Hello fellow boomers. Just say thanks.
Quality of life is **** now compared to what my parents enjoyed. Houses cost a fraction in real terms of what a house costs now, health care was far superior 30 years ago ( the care, not medical procedures ), movies and music were far better in the 70s than the PC garbage they put out now, even tv was better. -

Long waits, waves of calls, web crashes: Social Security is breaking down
Straw man much? Whether your claim is true or not, it's completely irrelevant to the fact that your DEI statement was bigoted given that the COBOLexperts we're working years before there was such a thing as DEI. -

Fugitive Arrested After 10 Years on the Run for Attempted Murder Over Business Rivalry
Picture courtesy of Matichon. A 36-year-old man has been arrested after evading capture for nearly a decade following an attempted murder charge linked to a business dispute in the bottled water industry. On 26 March, officers from the Crime Suppression Division, led by Pol. Maj. Gen. Wittaya Sriprasertphap, ordered the arrest of SomSak Panprasong, also known as Toon, aged 36. He was apprehended at a house in Moo 1, Nong Prue subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi province. SomSak had been wanted under an arrest warrant issued by Pattaya Provincial Court (No. 324/2016) on 9 December 2016, for charges including: • Attempted murder • Illegal possession of firearms and ammunition • Carrying a firearm in public • Property damage The case dates back to January 2012, when SomSak allegedly fired gunshots into a rival’s home while the victim and their family were inside. Authorities from Bang Lamung Police Station arrested him, and the Pattaya Provincial Court later sentenced him to 14 years and 4 months in prison without suspension. However, SomSak failed to appear for sentencing and had been on the run ever since. During questioning, SomSak claimed his older brother, who operated a bottled water factory, had a long-standing business dispute with a competitor. He alleged that the conflict escalated, resulting in a shooting incident, but insisted he had no involvement in the attack. Authorities have transferred SomSak to Bang Lamung Police Station for further legal proceedings. -- 2025-03-27 -
