Phuket Airport Domestic Terminal renovations are over

PHUKET: After 18 months, the initially “year-long” renovations of the Domestic Terminal at Phuket International Airport were declared complete yesterday (May 31).

Airport General Manager Petch Chancharoen and other Airports of Thailand (AoT) management figures led a press entourage through the facility, which has been plagued with problems since the renovations began on Nov 1, 2016.

“The terminal is fully equipped with facilities for passengers throughout 3,500 square metres of space. There are 66 new check-in counters and eight check-in luggage (x-ray machines). We have new boarding gates, numbers four through 10, and seven new air bridges at the terminal,” Mr Petch said.
