Manafort’s trial starts next month.

 

Almost all (over a million minus 250 or so) of the documents, records and voice recordings seized by the FEDs from Cohen will be released to investigators next Friday.

 

July is going to be an interesting month.

Manafort seems like such a nice guy, great dad too. His son-in-law has entered into a plea deal.

It’s worth re-reading this thread to see who called it right and who got it completely wrong.

 

Manafort is now in the slammer, it is very likely he will never be a free man again.

 

He’s facing additional charges of colluding with a known Russian spy to interfere with the ongoing investigation into Russian meddling in the US election.

 

I suspect (but have no evidence) that Manafort is very likely being threatened by the Russians he had colluded with, those threats will almost certainly extend to his family.

 

If I am right, check my record so far, then Manafort’s only hope of protecting his family from inside the slammer is to cooperate with the FEDs.

He is now reliant on the government to protect his family.

The US Department's Witness Protection program can help protect his family from physical harm while Manafort serves some negotiated sentence (2 years?) - another leverage to flip.Especially if Manafort must as condition of flip pay millions of dollars that would pressure his family's finances.
