BANGKOK — The head of the ruling junta said Tuesday he will visit Europe later this month to discuss trade deals.

 

Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha said he will fly to the United Kingdom and France to call for more investment and trade after the union normalized relations with his administration, which is trying to attract international interest in its development agenda.

Yes, you should. You can't communicate with anyone and are just going to look silly (as usual) with the little henchman/translator whispering into your ear all the time. ? I mean, seriously, this government can't afford a bluetooth earpiece like other rulers who can't speak the host nation's language? Or maybe Big P is afraid of an 'ear bomb' or something? ?

I wonder, if whilst he is there, I mean, I am building this model railway (to the utter mystification of wife and daughter) and there are a few bits and pieces I can't get over here...

I am glad P.M. Prayuth is going to both England and France. As the leader (unelected) of a small but significant S.E. Asian country, I hope he gives Theresa May a piece of his mind regarding the value of free speech and free assembly and reminds her that in his humble opinion, locking up Tommy Robinson for telling the truth is just plain unnacceptable, just as it would be in his own country..

Seems like the entire nation of Thailand can't even wipe its own arse without him. Thailand's future success or demise seemingly resting purely on his shoulders.

He needs to eat as much fish and chips as he can while he's there so that his codswallop  will carry a bit more weight when he gets back.

Yes he was warned and warned again.The jail sentence was completely justified.Yet here in Thailand I have come across several morons - the usual simian like British racists this country sadly seems to attract - who regard him as a some kind of martyr.There was no miscarriage of justice.

And there we have it: disgraceful unethicality on the part of the EU - and (as I keep saying) the implicit promise that the junta will be allowed to get away with election rigging and fake election 'result'  - because NO CREDITABLE INTERNATIONAL BODY WILL BE MONITORING THE FAKE ELECTION (which  - note -  MAY take place in 2019)!

All a load of political bs as usual.how can you do trade with someone who taxes imports 100s% .im in the uk and loading up my bags of food and necessities which are 3-7 times cheaper than Thailand.i would like the uk and France match the import duties that Thailand impose on goods.
