Why is the media under fire they are doing their job it should be the people sleeping in the picture that are under fire.

Watch this space.

Soon we will hear that the offender has been taken in for attitude adjustment.

Cannot cause loss of face

Very serious offence ! !

It's not just many, it's a consensus that there could be corruption, especially to those absent and sleeping MP's.

This is a funny one....they got busted as to what appointed legislators do in rubber stamp parliaments. They might as well sleep for all it's worth..as not like anyone's opinion is needed.

Seems like the session was quite sparsely attended as well. Private Business? Seems like a low rank, should be General Business.

I think "the media" was under fire for reporting the lack of attendance?

Actually, I think they captured the essence of your work.

Or, did you actually think you had influence on the process?

Rivers, stay away from my door.

Prayut said. “Corruption is not about the system. It all depends on people.”

That is incorrect. Fighting corruption is about making the system incorruptible - checks, balances and accountability.

Thailand has got a long way to go if the leader of the country actually believes this! Hopefully it was a misquote or something was lost in the translation.

How much do they get paid?

Might they also get additional compensation (vs salary) serving as chairman on the multitude of government committees and board of directors on state-owned, quasi state agencies and privately-owned companies.

Gen Prawit seems to be essentially a quad-dipper: Army General, NCPO member, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

Doesn't only happen here...

Absolutely right. This is just Thai bashing again. This happens in all sorts of parliaments. And when the sleeping members are pointed out, the electorate can boot them out... Oh, hang on...

Love all the Dr. Evil suits.

It's the new "La Tyrannie" Spring '18 Collection.

Are the assortment of bright jelly bean colours meant to trick the population into believing that this mob has their best-interests at heart?

That they are asleep on the job is Prayuth's fault. He picked these fine people, paid them lots of money to pretend to make decisions and then bored them to death.

Don't blame it on minions, Prayuth. It's all your fault.

This isn't fake news!  this goes on everyday and everywhere with every government. When it isn't your own money you are spending who give a <deleted>!

Right, but when these photos hit the press in say UK, USA, RSA etc. the government doesn't come out and blame the media...?

Might as well have a kip considering their attendance is meaningless anyway. However what is truly unforgivable are those crappy combovers - look, either cut it short or see a decent stylist when you are on one of your taxpayer-funded jollies abroad.

Like your post but you forgot to mention the jet black dyed hair too ?

These guys are clowns.   Not only do some of them sleep on the job when the NLA are debating important legislation, it seems fro the photos put out as a matter of public interest that the attendance level is struggling to make 10%.   How much do the sleepers and non-attendees get paid to be members of the NLA ?
