And, before that, my wife used to take my passport and do it and bring it back to me.

Maybe that was the thing where you were supposed to list your social media accounts and some other information about bank accounts. You pretty much could write in anything or leave most things blank. They didn't bother to look at it and nothing ever came of it. I've NEVER EVER had to fill out additional paperwork or add Social Media, bank account info, etc. Where in the world are you guys reporting to? Timbuktu? ?

Timbuktu? ? You might notice the thread header that includes JOMTIEN, but the form asking for social media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc) accounts, etc was nationwide. It was, as noted, a couple of years ago. Like most things it may have been unevenly enforced. There were many long threads on Thai Visa at the time. Possibly since you are a newbie on TV it was before your time or you were in a coma. Many newbies assume nothing existed before their arrival. It was quite easy to find links (below) to two threads and I seem to recall there were more.
