In a week of ‘crackdowns’, a woman has arrested with methamphetamine and crystal methamphetamine in Phuket Town.

A team of Phuket City Police have arrested 33 year old Hassaya ‘Pla’ Kamjanapong at Soi Taling Chan.

Police seized 19.62 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 137 methamphetamine pills.  She was taken to the Phuket City Police Station where she has been charged with possession of Category 1 drugs with intent to sell.

Are they going to make news items about every Thai drug addicted or local end-dealer in possession of drugs? Then there will be a lot "news" items each day.

I thought the recent article about busting the shipment of literally tons of sodium cyanide used for methamphetimine production was a excellent article and a solid bust.

These non-articles about end-users who are holding enough stash to be called 'traffickers' belies the imagination and is not 'news'.  But the Thais seem to love to fill their jails with these people who seriously need an intervention and some medical help.  But!  Can't feed the prisoners because they're out of funding for food in the jails, but they continue to fill them up.  When do they get a clue that they stop drugs at the source, not at the end user.
