The spectacle was at kilometer marker 50/800 near the Bang Pakong rest area. INN reported that the water authorities have now turned off the valve and an investigation is underway. I don't imagine journalists globally would be aware of the difference - unless they worked for a technical journal. All gate valves and globe valves open counter clock wise and close clock wise.
