Car spares

Featured Replies

Can someone please tell me where I can order car spares from in Thailand. I need a water pump for a 2005 Ford Ranger. I can only presume that if I order parts online that they will be cheaper than buying from the main dealer.  Thanks. Keith

How much does the dealer want?

There are some online auto parts sales here.

Thousands of places. Ask around. Think Thai people order online? Any local shop knows where to get spares for just about anything, locally,  Puegot 405 excepted !!

You need to go to the 2005 Ford Ranger water pump shop.

Hint. Every market town and provincial city has SEVERAL.

In my home country they are called auto accessory shops or auto factors.

Ya know, look for stuff that might give it away from the outside - car batteries, cans of oil, light clusters, that sort of thing...

Jeez...

A local independent garage can source parts. Preferably one that deals mostly with fords as they will be more familiar with them. They will use non genuine parts, but may recommend genuine parts in some instances of the non genuine are not decent quality. I went to a local garage to get an oxygen sensor but they fitted a genuine part as the Mon genuine are not reliable.

^^^ Yup - looks like a local shop to me. Khun Autozone 555

Not sure a water pump for a 6 cylinder petrol engine will fit a 4 pot diesel.

Sure it won’t?

In any event, it does say check the fit...

That is the only problem with mail order stuff, if the part you want had a few variations and the wrong one turns up you are stuffed...

Member JoeW is a good bloke to ask regarding the OP's part...
