Can anyone help me? I am planning on moving to Thailand in 2 years already have a house with a gym and treatment room and want to start my own Sports rehab clinic/business.

Does anyone know of the licence requirnents for physiotherapists or Sports therapists. I have all the relevant qualifications and have been working in this field for the past 20 years.

Any help would be much appreciated.

thanks in advance

You need to setup a business of which you can own 49%, 51% Thai owned.

To get a work permit, you need to have employ 4 Thai people unless you are married to a Thai, then you need 2.

Can't help you with the license.

Unless you will work for Thai wages it's probably a waste of your time

Licensure is tricky.  Foreign doctors, nurses, midwives, etc have to pass appropriate licensure tests IN THAI, no translation.  And that's just the beginnings of jumping through hoops.  Acupuncturists (Thai or foreign) can only be licensed if their education was in Thailand.  Physiotherapy I'd imagine would have very similar hurdles.  Sometimes you can find a licensed Thai provider that is willing for you to work under their license.  I gave up 10 years ago as licensure hurdles were impossible.

Thanks for this will put down exercise specialist as there are always ways around things.  The new rules state once you have a company visa you do not need to list all the things you do so this helps.
