Thanathorn registers Future Forward Party (FFP) with EC

Thanathorn Jungrungreangkit on Thursday (June 21) submitted a request with the Election Commission to officially register the Future Forward Party (FFP), of which he has been named acting party leader.

 

He was accompanied by Piyabutr Saengkanokkul, the party’s acting secretary-general. Mr Thanathorn and Mr Piyabutr were voted by party members to take the posts of party leader and secretary-general at the party’s first public meeting at Thammasat University’s Rangsit campus. Their party posts have not yet been official, pending the completion of the party’s registration.

 

The FFP registration request was accompanied by the list of 670 party members and the party’s initial registration fund of 1,082,679 baht. Mr Piyabutr said he was confident the party had filed all the documents required.

Don't be overconfident about registering your FFP Party Mr. Piyabutr. There are two slithery snakes out there eager to find some loophole to deny you registration. If they can't find a loophole they will readily invent one and make it law. That's the sort of odious snakes they are; just keep careful watch on them. The word "democracy" is an anathema to them.
