BANGKOK, 23rd June 2018 (NNT) – The government’s spokesperson has explained why the prime minister’s wife didn't go to England and France with the prime minister on his recent trip, while also asking the mass media to verify their information before news reporting.

Lieutenant General Sansern Kaewkamnerd, the Prime Minister’s Office’s spokesperson, has now disclosed the reasons Ms. Naraporn Chan-o-cha, the Prime Minister’s wife did not accompany the prime minister to England and France.

His Majesty the King had graciously appointed a representative to present her with a vase of flowers at Government House on her birthday, 20th June 2018. Besides, her doctor had recommended she rest in preparation for upcoming minor surgery. It was not because she intended to avoid the potential scandal of going abroad to celebrate her birthday as reported by some news outlets.

Furthermore, the prime minister also clarified this matter upon meeting Thai people in London. He also said that he went to England for the benefit of Thailand and thanked everyone who had encouraged him during his visit. Although some of the public do not agree with him, he said he understands and is not annoyed. He also asked them not to quarrel because it may have a negative impact on the nation.

In addition, the prime minister emphasized that the election is certain to take place early next year. Meantime, he will gradually ease the tension created by various conditions so that everything can be accomplished according to the road map, including the local elections, which must be three months apart from the national election.

Was anybody actually interested in the first place?

No, probably not. Just some media tripe.

Might as well as reported he didn't leave with huge amounts of suit cases as others have too. Equally not interesting.

I see that Paid Liar Numero Uno is up on his hind legs again.

To what consequence this time?

None? Thought so. Another non-event by a non-person.

Some BS isn't even worth the effort listening to.

Of course, the local elections. I'm sure there is frantic activity to get ready for local elections - sometime in the future .

Now where were they on the roadmap thing? Nothing must go wrong with the local elections!

He' is the Government's spokesman and is well known, The term spokesperson might be used where the gender of the person is unknown.

I think you'll find that gender-neutral language can be used in case of either or both genders. PC pain in the a$$ though it most certainly is. A demon conjured up by the feminists and cross-dressers

Not to nit-pick.
