A meeting between representatives of political parties on one side and the government, National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) and Election Commission (EC) on the other side began at about 2 pm on Monday (June 25) at the army club on Vibhavadi Rangsit road.

The meeting is for all sides concerned to discuss preparations for a general meeting, tentatively scheduled for February. The political parties are expected to propose the lifting of the NCPO’s ban on political activities to allow them to conduct political campaigns.

Representing the government and the NCPO at the meeting are deputy prime ministers Prawit Wongsuwon and Wissanu Kreangam. The EC is represented by Supachai Somcharoen.

What a total waste of time !! Parties meeting with a man who couldnt tell the truth if his life depended on it.

Toad Boy and his henchman Wissanu. What a double! They euphemistically refer to it as a discussion meeting but in truth it is nothing more than a gathering to allow these two to tell them what they can do and what they can't do. I wonder will the Junta Party be in attendance?

60 politcal parties, for cryin' out loud. If nothing else, this shows that Thailand just hasn't got the hang of democracy yet.
