When I was back in the UK a few years back I set up Gmail, Skype and Facebook for my mother (she is an extremely sprightly creature of 80) After I left, she has not even tried to use one of these methods to communicate. A lot of the older generation just will not touch this stuff.

I have a different problem. I'm pushing 85 and my wife tries to get me off it. But she, like most of the world now is glued to her mobile phone.

They were married for twenty years... separated for only three years due to his sickness!!!

My wife is a great person, who has never asked for money and whom I love very much.  After being mistreated by white Americans, Europeans, a Hong Kong girl, a Korean, etc. I've learned it doesn't matter where you're from.  It matters who you're with. You can find her too, if you just take your time to find the right person instead of frequenting Soi Cowboy or Pattaya Walking Street.

My Mother Skypes me daily  and an e mail as  well to "let me know" shes  still  alive...............shes 90

 

One of these days Im gonna  answer her and give her the shock of her  life!!

However just wondering should Thai Immigration set a clause on when a Farang turns 100 they become exempt from doing 365 day extensions and the 90 day reports also.  Now that would be such a great introduction to show that Thai Immigration really do have a caring nature.
