No it doesn't.

MPs may be selected by the party but their first duty is to their constituents and not to themselves or their party. Otherwise at the next election they can be kicked out.

My MP is a Remainer but the constituency voted to leave.

MPs first duty is to vote for what they themselves believe is in the best interest of their constituents and their  country

How many more times must I state this fact?

In 1975 we did not have the benefits of social media etc.,

Now we do,and the majority of people are far more aware of how the establishment along with the media has basically lied and conned us. Thus they democratically voted OUT.

Yes but most Brexiters wear tattoos not ties; particularly the females ?

Exactly!

Mein Kampf was the same.

Did National Socialists deliver it in pamphlet form to every household?

And silly for you to say that! Common standards may be fine but the point is that the UK would have developed their own standards independent of (or even possibly conforming to) CE if we had been independent of the EU all the time.

Have you ever been in manufacturing? You would prefer separate production runs for each export market? ?

I believe that every household was expected to have a copy, not having one was perhaps a foolish omission.

Certainly every newly wed couple was presented with one as a wedding present by the state!

Both could perhaps be regarded as a government publication whose relevance was overtaken by events.

If we really stretch the metaphor, always entertaining, one might observe that both authors came fatally (politically) unstuck. Mind you Mr Cameron's successor has lasted rather longer than Grand Admiral Doenitz!?

Cost of living index also has to be considered. From my experience Teebee and you would know better than anyone a joint of beef in France or a chicken is much more expensive than the UK.

Luxembourg COLI  is 86.44, UK is 67.18 and Bulgaria 37.83.

Yes, I used the PPP figures from this page ( rounded to the nearest 50) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_European_countries_by_average_wage

Not what I said. By the way, the only thing I've ever made is a lot of noise and big bangs!

Could it be that the UK average wage has been dragged down by migration into the country from lower paid eastern European nationals?

Also, the first table I got from Google paints a different picture, with Bulgaria at just €586 per month, and with 12 countries having less than €1000 take home pay per month:

But only in UK? That makes sense......Not

Still waiting for something, good about Brexit....

Nobody with anything near half a brain supports Brexiteers.

They should just look at thethe company they keep.

Brilliant satire coming from a remainer ??

You do understand the reason that she is called Priti ( Vacant ) Patel ?

Of course it does, you are a remainer, anything to do with leaving the EU is a bad idea to remainers.

MP's and Governments are elected to represent the people. They are not elected to carry out the wishes of Business or EU Institutions.

Nor, apparently, the people when they change their minds.

Of course not! Hitler would have been accused of spending £10 million of tax payers money on a biased , hysterical document to scare people and stampede them in one direction toward the second World War.

Oh it’s £10 million now is it.

It’ll be £350million before long.

October 2016: “There will be no downside to Brexit, only a considerable upside.”

July 2018: the govt is putting in place “sensible measures” to prevent food riots.

April 2019: Rats are vermin, and a good source of protein.

Did you manage to write that all by yourself ?

Or did you steal it from some unidentified sources ?

Your brilliance is a sight to behold ??

yes, well unfortunately if you identify stuff as quotes on here, the mods have a habit of deleting it  as a copyright violation. So I've given up on doing it.

Some things are entirely my own work and thoughts

Others,  inspired by what others have said.

still more, others thoughts in my words

sometimes I mix other people's words and my own.

and some are direct quotes.

You'll have to work out which is which yourself.

Does it really matter ? Many are from Twitter which is fairly ephemeral thing anyway and is designed to be recopied.

If you are really anal about finding the source Google it ....

Only appears to happen to you tebee.

Might be time to come to the conclusion that what you consider to be sources are actually sources of '' Fake news '' and that is why they keep getting deleted.

Did the date of 'April 2019' not give you a clue that the post may be veering towards dry humour rather than actual fact?

Put your cards on the table, EU makes last Brexit call to Britain

It appears that May is very quickly running out of cards

Quote

Theresa May faces a rebellion by dozens of her own MPs on Monday in a Commons vote that they hope will deliver a blow to her Chequers plan for Brexit.

Jacob Rees-Mogg, who leads the European Research Group of Brexiteer Tory MPs, is tabling amendments to a bill that would challenge the plan.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/news/may-faces-rebellion-from-two-sides-after-brexit-compromise-rlrbj7qv2

In a further damning piece

Quote

Hardline Tory Brexiters plan to try to force Theresa May to publish a rival draft of the white paper drawn up by David Davis in the run-up to last week’s Chequers summit, which Downing Street ditched.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/jul/11/brexiters-bid-to-force-release-of-david-davis-rival-white-paper

If the claims made in the Guardian article are true, I would suggest that it is time for Taxi for May.

The July 2018 headline is most worrying. As at now the government is stocking up on (unhealthy) processed foods, in the event of a 'no-deal' resulting in a blockade of vehicles stranded at British ports.

The EU is responsible for 97% of the £22 billion worth of processed food and drinks imported to the UK, a sector which employees around 400,000 British workers, the newspaper reports.

If you have a better reason why the poster is claiming that his sources keep getting deleted, I am all ears and open to suggestions.
