Popular Post damascase
Back in my country of origin for the holidays, I visited old friends who run a popular motorcycle business. They had just received the latest Benelli, the single cylinder Imperiale 400. Single OHC, fuel injection, ABS etc. Quoted power output is 20 bhp. Costs 1.700 Euro less than the cheapest Royal Enfield Bullet. i do wonder whether this bike will get to the Thai market.

Yea I've seen abit of this on the 'net and El-Vale is no stranger to an F1 cockpit having previously back in the 2000's caned one of Michael Schumacher's spare Ferrari's around their test track to the point where Schumacher was hugely impressed by his times .. He also dabbled in WRC a few years ago and if I'm not mistaken took part in the GB round in a turbonutter Subaru .. Bet pre test insurance negotiations for this swapsie test by Lewis and Vale insisted all electronic aids remained fully on especially for Lewis getting across a top whack GP bike with their propensity to high side a pilot 20 foot in the air .. And his Merc' needs to be duly treated with equal big respect for its physics bending ability around the corners ..
Popular Post Justgrazing
Take a Yam R1 with a 160,000 up already stick some home made panniers and top box on it then spend the next 5 yrs riding around the world sticking another 155,000 on it .. It went everywhere Siberia , Sahara , Amazon and still retains all original major components .. A tribute to Yam's build quality indeed and proof you don't need a dedicated trailie for big adventure ..
Justgrazing
Who needs a surf board .. Bungee jumping was one of the most terrifying and at the same time fortifying things I've ever done but I never thought about asking the bike if she wanted a go .. The late great Evel Knievel mid flight during his Wembley jump 45 yrs ago .. though the landing still makes me wince now .. Described as the most dangerous " motorcycle " in the world and looking at the spindly bit holding the front to the back not a gross exaggeration of the facts .. the military grade jet engine's exhaust will give you a leg tattoo worthy of the name if you try riding it in anything other than an asbestos suit .. Popular Post Justgrazing
Kinda top 5 of fave steeds .. A motorcycle brand branded as malevolent , anti-social and occasionally downright dangerous .. Can only be Kawasaki's 70's range of mental 2 strokers .. anyone will do but a personal fave is the rare S2 .. DKW's 125 .. Just about every small single stroker made by anyone after WW2 used ideas and technology developed from this bike and it is one of the true unsung hero's of the bike world .. Triumphant Bonny .. Few if any manufacturers can cross the pond and dump in Harley's backyard like Triumph did .. And the number of celeb's who chose to own a Triumph gave them a cachet that no money or advertising could ever buy .. not forgetting that a Triumph stars in one of the all time classic bits of movie footage containing a motorcycle with Stevie boy leaping one over the barbed wire in " The Great Escape " .. Benelli Sei .. A rockstar of a bike from the 70's .. Unashamedly mimicked Honda's 500/4 x 1.5 .. horrendously expensive , not that fast , suspect reliability but with a back end that still turns heads now if you ever see one out and about .. I'd have sold my brothers kidney to buy one of these back in the day .. Honda trumped Kawasaki in 1969 with the release of their CB750 so Kawa pulled the plug on the own 750's debut and went back to the board for a redraw before returning in 1972 with the Z1 .. Folk thought the H was rapid but this was in a different league and could trash the Honda any day of the week .. Few bikes are held in such revered esteem as these which is reflected in their 2nd hand prices and they are No1 bike to have sat in you're sitting room .. I know my mate Dean has one in his ..

I once borrowed my mate's Bonny to go from Leicester to Cambridge and back. I don't know if it was just his particular Bonny, but I remember constantly having to stop and push the left handgrip back onto the handlebars. It had a mind of its own and was obviously trying to escape. Talking of escape: Does anyone know where I can find a copy of 'Guy Martin's Great Escape 2019' (preferably torrent). It was on Channel 4 UK last month, showing him recreating Steve McQueen's jump.
