The case I am taking on board my KLM flight to the UK is less than a quarter of an inch length

and breadth more than KLMs allowance. Is there any chance that they might disallow it.

I have never had my cabin bag, or case measured in any of the flights I have ever taken.

Also can't remember.

In many years there was only one case with BA who came around (at the boarding gate!) with a scale. Overweights were taken away for checked baggage storage.

The weight is more interesting than this little oversize to my opinion.

I only flew KLM and AirFrance only once.

AirFrance exactly once and never again.

They would deny you with a 20.5 kg suitcase for checked baggage.

No idea whether their "partner" KLM is that nitpicking too.

Yes, I am not too concerned about the weight, only whether they will be fussy about my cabin bag.

I have only ever seen the size cage used when flying with the low cost carriers - and generally only for very full flights. I think you would have to count yourself very unlucky if they were to challenge you.
