So if they are not still in prisons then they are deported and black listed for life! Seriously, people like that should be deprived the right to travel the world and I firmly believe that if you are convicted and have served time for sex/violent crimes then you should also not be allowed a passport! Seriously, people like that should be deprived the right to draw breath would be a more accurate statement.

balo
The good news about Thai media is we have his name Anthony James Bennett He probably changed his name after leaving the UK , it would not surprise me he has a criminal record there , or wanted by the police . In the UK there is a database of all sex offenders , with pictures if anyone is interested to find a match.

How very true! Unfortunately, there are many pedos from the West in the undeveloped countries abusing kids taking advantage of their poverty. Sick indeed. I can't even discuss Thailand with many from the United States. They start in on the country being a "haven" for pedophiles. Fifteen or twenty years ago, Thailand was supposed to be the "AIDS capital of the world". It's a lot of BS but many still believe it. Seems that at least every month, we are seeing another "pedo" arrest. Very sick and sad. It has become the norm today for the developed countries to thrash the developing and poor countries. Yes, definitely there are many unlawful things happening there - but the difference is that the developed countries play-down the nefarious activities in their countries, but give undue prominence to the bad in the developing countries. TVF itself can be taken as an example.

If enough teachers would sign up, it could be a very powerful and strong organization where the rip off agencies and shady recruiters couldn’t continue the way they run their businesses right now. No more eight, or nine months teaching contracts, a fair salary based on experience and education, not on grounds who's the best arselicker. Actually having rights, and proper social security insurance would be mandatory. Eventually, free access to a lawyer for a small yearly fee would definitely change many peoples’ lives in a very positive way. IMHO, the biggest enemies of foreigners living in LOS seem to be other foreigners. What might sound insane, is IMOHO very easy to explain. The English don’t like the “Yanks”, “the Frogs”, “the Krauts”, etc.…It’s not that foreigners are helping each other, it’s more about who’s got the longer one, the better-looking wife and the usual gossip about others, on a daily basis, which is breathtaking. NNES teachers are often seen as trash, even those who were English teachers in their country of origin, I’m not talking about Asians now. Who cares if somebody speaks the Queen’s English, an American, or European accent, as long as the students understand them and learn English? In other words, you can’t get more than three foreigners together without having an argument about something that might not even exist. I’ve read threads where foreigners who are living here in Thailand fulltime, had a problem when another foreigner said hello to them while shopping at Big-C. Considering the surely existing hate and jealousy, that seem to exist all over the country, how would you get so many people to the same table and discuss something that would be highly beneficial for all involved, no matter if the person is English, American, German, or a citizen from Mars? Let’s look forward to the FFTA- first foreign teacher’s association of Thailand.? NNES teachers are often seen as trash, even those who were English teachers in their country of origin, I’m not talking about Asians now. Who cares if somebody speaks the Queen’s English, an American, or European accent, as long as the students understand them and learn English? Does it mean that NNES and/or Asian teachers cannot speak/teach correct English?

I've never met people like this in real life, and I do get out occasionally. The problem is; that we never really know people, and what they do behind the scenes that friends, family, neighbours, work colleges and others rarely see. No guy is going to wear a, I`m a paedophile tee-shirt to make it obvious. Pedos come in all shapes and sizes, in all races and nationalities, from all walks of life and various ages, even women can be paedophiles. So unless you have phychic powers or a person openly displays pedophiliac tendencies or is caught in the act, then there are no ways of knowing. And this is what makes this really scary and now with the technological age of the Internet, it`s never been easier for them. Paedophilia is a worldwide epidemic, they are literally everywhere, which sadly creates paranoia that assumes all males are potential paedophiles. I cannot see any solutions to the problem, except for parents and schools educating kids from an early age of the dangers lurking out there, how to recognise these dangers, how to take counter measures to avoid becoming victims and who they should report to in such cases.
