If He is guilty, then give him what He deserves, I hope they do the same to a Thai National?

You never see that they have apprehended Thai National on these charges, on Thai Visa that

never happens?

Lucky this guy is a foreigner and can be dealt with appropriately and then deported and blacklisted.  When a Thai teacher with connections raped two female students at his school the parents were threatened and told to transfer their daughters to another school because their allegations had brought shame on the school.

Did the Language school check if this person was on the UK Sex offenders registry before employing him ?   That sort of behaviour is often a life long obsession.

Good point.  I wonder if they checked whether he had genuine teaching credentials as well. In a recent story a Swiss man was reported to be an English teacher at a language school, even though Swiss nationals are not considered native speakers of English and therefore unqualified to have a foreign teachers licence as an English teacher in Thailand.  There seem to be a lot of schools still employing unqualified foreign teachers, which is not surprising I suppose, given the pitiful salaries paid to foreign teachers at Thai schools.

Another black mark on Thailand's reputation. I can't even discuss Thailand with many from the United States. They start in on the country being a "haven" for pedophiles. Fifteen or twenty years ago, Thailand was supposed to be the "AIDS capital of the world".  It's a lot of BS but many still believe it. Seems that at least every month, we are seeing another "pedo" arrest. Very sick and sad.

Sad that things like this happen , but at least they are being arrested .

The authorities seem to be taking it alot more seriously these days

Matching wife is OK to demand, why she need to have a 12 years old kid to marry him ?

Thailand is targeting the right person on this crime. He is definitely a suspect as he is having child porn on the phone. He is doing harm to the good teachers coming for right service

Why not all English teachers form an association and register the qualified teachers with minimum decent pay and help Thailand to recruit good teachers ?

Because thailand only wants to pay qualified teachers 40000 baht a month, even though parents are paying millions of baht every year for their children to learn with a qualified native speaker. Though I'm a non qualified native speaker and I have done a great job for 20 years.

Just because someone has a degree, doesn't mean anything. Look at the teacher from suankularb that was taking pictures of naked boys in sex acts. He was transferred there by the ministry of education from another school for doing the same thing. Thai continue to bury their head in the sand about this issue and don't educate their children about it.

of course it happens, there was a report a few weeks ago and the guys were thai. just less likely to be reported on TVF unless there was a foreigner involved i would have thought

There are many reports of thai being arrested , then nothing. Does it even get to the court? Most thai teacher pedophiles are simply transferred to another school.

So 3 young lads on a balcony each disappearing inside for 20 minutes with a Dutch guy and you blame the Thais in the pool for not batting an eyelid. Yet  you witnessed it all for over an hour.

The Belgium and the English teachers you caught red handed yet blame the school for not reporting them? Then you say you want to rip their ****in heads off! Why didn’t  you rip their heads off or at least report them to the police at the time.

Actually reading your comment that you seen all this first hand and done basically nothing makes me want to puke.

Typical reply from somebody who doesn't have all the facts.  It'd take too long for you to read it all, so let me give you the shortened version:

The Dutch guy - I'd only been in Thailand 1 week, 13 years ago.  I don't blame the Thais because it was all new to me; if it happened now, it would be a different story.

The Belgium guy - After the committee interview, I was told, in no uncertain terms, not to report it, because the school didn't want the police involved; typical reaction from a school here in cases like this.  I was even warned that I would be sacked if I did report it.  However, myself and other foreign teachers watched him like hawks; he left the school at the end of the year, and went back to Belgium.

The British guy - The same school as the Belgium guy.  He'd only been there 1 week.  I only met him once because he was in a different office to me.  I found-out about his sacking the following afternoon.  Myself and some other foreign teachers wanted to take action, but nobody knew where he was staying at the time, he had even given the school a false address.

I didn't take kindly to your comments, but I know where your coming from.  Perhaps, next time you want to give any adverse comments, you should tone it down a bit unless you know all the facts.

Have a nice day.

It's certainly an interesting defence.

Small amounts of  (illegal) drugs are considered 'for personal use' according to some interpretations of the Law, depending on the jurisdiction.

Illegal images involving the sexual manipulation of minors, is not considered lawful in any jurisdiction, as far as I know.

That is shocking to know, the culprit is allowed to move to another school ? Very bad.

So the expensive ray-ban is blocking the police eyes ?

Actually it's normal in thai child sex /porn for teachers to be transferred and usually the penalty is settled with parents before any court case.

It is rare for a thai sex offender to face the courts. If they do, it's not published.

Apparently, there are only foreign sex offenders.

On a 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst kind of child sex abuse. This guy is a one.

He had pictures of naked young girls on his phone. Doesn't even say if they were underage.

If these young naked girls weren't underage, I don't honestly think the police would have arrested him, do you?

You're a teacher aren't you?  Is this some sort of attempt to quantify this man's offences?  Just curious.

This Malaysian man has 2 wives already. Now he's married an 11 year old thai child. Nobody seems to think there's anything wrong with that.

The age of consent is 18 in Thailand, so you can be called a pedophiles for having pictures of 16 and 17 year old girls, which is legal in most countries.

I'm just not willing to brand a man a pedophile and put his face on the front page with such little information.

In your warped mind, no child was ever harmed in the production of those images.

well there was uproar over it and they are looking to make it a penal offence for marrying kids, remember that is a muslim guy with there weird ways and was dealt with in a sharia court.

this is about a perve english bloke (teacher no less) with kiddie porn on his phone and computer who don't forget was advertising looking for women with 12 year old kids. he then sent kiddie porn pics to some undercover BIB who contacted him through that advert.

i'd say that's a dangerous pedo mate

You offered the facts and I comments on what you wrote. You should have reviewed your story before posting as it certainly didn’t show you in a favourable way. Actually even your second attempt at excusing your actions doesn’t show you that heroic either, you could have reported them anonymously to the authorities.

You have a nice day also.

You are a newspaper publisher as well?

So the police believe they have enough information to charge him, but that isn't enough to brand him a danger to children.

So much for your ethical (and legal) position.

The only downside of living in Thailand; surrounded by guys like this.  Before anybody posts that there are guys like this in every corner of the world - Yes! That is so.  But, here in Thailand, it's in your face 24/7; makes me want to puke!

Yeah, I have helped schools and police here in Thailand 5 times so far with foreigner teachers acting strangely... 3 of them turned out to be pedos (convicted in their home countries) and 2 were using drugs... So if they are not still in prisons then they are deported and black listed for life!

Seriously, people like that should be deprived the right to travel the world and I firmly believe that if you are convicted and have served time for sex/violent crimes then you should also not be allowed a passport!

Seriously, people like that should be deprived the right to draw breath would be a more accurate statement.

he posted want ads for women who had 12 year old children, then police acted like one and he sent them indecent images?
