There's a delightful secret about San Diego Comic-Con that becomes clear as you run around and photograph cosplayers: The con isn't only about comic books.

 

It's really a celebration of all things pop culture.

 

So while you are guaranteed to see various Star Wars characters and Marvel and DC icons roaming the streets of San Diego in July, it's the cosplayers who collaborate on original costumes that have nothing at all to do with a comic book or superhero property that get our attention, and make us salute their efforts.

 

Because as we all know. If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball... and dress up like a team at San Diego Comic-Con to celebrate Dodgeball!
