geriatric proof bottles

only noticed this since they announced no more plastic covering on bottle tops
when a child they had childproof bottles now as an oldies they got geriatric proof bottles. no matter how much effort i put into grab and twist they just wont open , not just one manufacturer but a number of different brands
have taken to using my small open scissors to run around the supposes break line on two fronts , works ok but liable to doing damage to oneself and not possible when out and about.
one set of 6 bottles had to use the can opener to pierce the lid for all of them
once in a shop after failing i gave it back to the somewhat weak young girl and she had it open immediately
