UK cave heroes returning to Thailand during Christmas holidays

Tourism and Sports Minister Weerasak Kowsurat said on Saturday that the British cave diving experts who played a key role in the Tham Luang rescue operation will be returning to Thailand during the long Christmas holidays.

 

Weerasak said he had learned of the planned revisit by the British divers while he was coordinating with foreign teams who took part in the operation to invite them for a thank-you party granted by His Majesty the King on August 1.

 

He said the British divers would also return to Thailand during the long thanksgiving holidays next year.

I believe the party is 1st August, or was as I think it has been cancelled.

Anyway, no doubt an all expenses Xmas jolly, don't blame them.

The media peddles garbage.  There is so much serious stuff happening round the world at the minute but what do we get??  Endless stories about irresponsible cave  kids & divers and of course women who have had sex with Trump.

I have to wonder what sort of hero's welcome these will get?    Are they single?

I pity the expats in Thailand that only get Trump channel or Fox News. Hopefully

the French channel and BBC news gives you a better coverage of the World and the

USA news. I even preferred  the RT channel and the other English news coverage and

made Fox my last choice of English news source. Hope the cave heroes has a fun

filled Christmas visit.

It would be nice to think that they would manage to have a holiday with their families and not end up spending a coulpe of weeks being followed around by 'make sure I'm in this shot' types.

Hope they haven't planned an overland to Cambodia via Poipet.
