Shocking...it's raining in rainy season. Who'd a thunk it ???

If memory serves , this happens every year, some years more than others, but still every year. The Thais seem shocked. <deleted>???

You are making light of a special, but natural occurrence Tagaa.

This year the actual rain is different.

I was fishing yesterday and it started to rain. As the water dripped down my face I noticed that it tasted different; almost mineral.

I collected some, in a container, with a view to examining it later. Very strange rain this year.

Mozzie spray?

Could have been neem (mozzie deterrent). But this was not a bitter taste.

I'll analysis the sample later and post my findings.

I went down to the Chaophraya river in Bangkok on Sunday and was surprised to see the water levels the lowest I had ever seen. I could see the footings on some pillars I had never noticed before.

Exceptionally low tide? Maybe. Just strange to see with all the rain reported up country.

Spring tide. They'll be opening up the gates soon enough.
