German Tourist Victim of Bag Snatching

On the 5th of February at 2.30am Mrs. Magdalena Werfelmann, aged 68 and her son Peter, aged 29, both German tourists arrived at Dongtan Police Station and filed a complaint to the inquiry officer stating that they were riding back home at Suksabai Villa on Soi 17 South Pattaya.

When two men on a motorbike pulled alongside them and suddenly the passenger who was fat, ugly and had very long hair, grabbed the woman’s shoulder bag. The bag contained Mrs. Werfelmann’s passport, 2,500 Thai Baht and 500 Euro in cash. The criminals then quickly fled in the direction of Thepprasit Road.

The son attempted to follow the offenders to Jomtien Beach where he lost their trail.

After receiving the information Police radioed to Patrolmen to keep a look out for the bag snatchers, but unfortunately to no avail.

The Police told the two Germans to make further reports at the Pattaya Police Station the following morning, as the crime was committed in their area.

2.30 am.

500 Euros in bag.

Think we've heard this one before. I think I'll go and wander around a high crime area with many undesirables in the early hours of the morning with a very large amount of money in a snatchable bag.

the 29 year old son was out looking for some baggable snatch , unfortunately his mother spoilt his night by being robbed of a snatchable bag.
