A French man was found dead in a room at a Sukhumvit hotel on Tuesday morning.

The body of David Mouries, 48, was discovered at the Smart Suites Boutique Hotel located on Sukhumvit Soi 11 after a maid knocked on the door to get permission to clean the room.

When there was no response, she opened the door with a spare key and found the body.

Investigations are ongoing but the man's death is not thought to be suspicious.

The body has been sent for autopsy to establish an official cause of death.

The French Embassy in Bangkok has been informed and will contact relatives of the deceased.

Maybe they already know. Good news work again.

RIP...the evidence and scene should be considered highly suspect until a proper investigation has occurred. Too bad that foreign national deaths dont have enough importance to have home country officials (police) ensuring that local police have applied due dilligence in these investigations.

With the investigation (not investigations) ongoing, how can that know, or assume, that?

I guess that there is not an "Ideal Age", however I am sure that he intended seeing a lot more of the world than he did.......By the way, may I ask how old you are, and if r it is relevant, what you were looking forward to at his age.......:jap:

I would think a death from natural causes at 48 is highly suspicious. (especially considering who is doing the investigating).

I know guys who died in their 30's (naturally from various causes  some hereditary and others from life of excess partying etc)

But hopefully they won't close the case without autopsy
