Greetings . Wanted to ask some insight from experts about the denial of Thai tourist visa single entry

i had an ED visa March2016- 11 Nov2017

then an single entry touris visa Nov 27 to Feb 25 for which I stayed 50 days

then I got an Non immigrant B visa then I left my job and that visa got expired after 3 months  (Feb 2018-May2018)

I went to travel to Laos (May 2018)and Malaysia (June9)respectively and obtain VOA on both occasions . I came back to my country and after 45 days I applied for SETV which was VOID thinking that my return ticket was not back to India the next time I applied after 5 days I changed the return ticket to India . After getting passport back I saw another VOID sticker visa with no reason of rejection. Before me there was another lady who I saw had a void tourist visa too. I don’t know what is reason

from what I think they don’t trust me for  actually will I come back after my visa expire of stay there is that the reason or there is something else . I never got any warning also . Neither I have overstayed or involved in illegal activities . I had also attached the letter to embassy about my history in Thailand and my motive .

p:s : Indian national applied at New Delhi.

Na, that definitely can't be. Why on earth should they not trust you, especially with that complete clean track record of visas.

But why not just talk to them? I assume based on your ED Visa you speak Thai fluently and can strike a good conversation to get to the root.

I don’t see any other reason than that

does having a previous employement visa make it difficult to get tourist visa?

Your employment here should not affect you getting a tourist visa.

If you submitted all the required documents to get the visa I cannot understand why you were denied the visa.

Perhaps you should get a new passport to clear the record of all your previous visas you have in it. That may help.

Or perhaps take up temporary residence some place where the New Deli embassy does not do the approval.

You can find links to the consulates in India where you could have your application would be submitted to for approval here. http://www.thaiembassy.org/main/

Thank you for your response

does having new passport helps ?

i mean if I apply with new passport can’t they have input about my previous visits ?

And do you have idea is their any rule about if your application gets rejected is there a time period you can apply again? Cause in this case I applied just after 5 days

I had all required documents

may be me being unemployed went against me also

Yes it can help. Embassies have not access to immigrations records. Most go by what they see in your passport. They do not go digging through their files looking for your previous records.

I am not aware of waiting time between visa application when one is denied.

Not being employed in India might affect your application since that would be a reason for you to return to India.

Thank you again may be next if I ever apply will use new passport

I would imagine, given your history, that they do not believe your reason for going to Thailand again is for tourism and that’s why they denied a Tourist Visa.

Just sad that I always exited on time never had any visa runs .neither any intention to work illegally but still denied while others doing illegal things are enjoying in Thailand under corrupt police shelter .

there is no encouragement for honesty

Unlike some on this board, I am sympathetic to your problem. People from the Indian subcontinent frequently have problems getting tourist visas to come to Thailand. It is very unclear what criteria the New Delhi consulate uses when considering applications. Unfortunately, there is some racial profiling going on. I believe you are fine, but Thailand does have experiences of Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis conducting business without the right documents.

Some of the large travel agents will apply for visas on your behalf if you sign up for a tour through them. Maybe, that would give you a better chance.

Immigration and consulates do not share information.

With a new passport the consulate does not know anything about your VOA, immigration in Thailand will not know about your visa void issues.

Immigration is part of the Royal Thai police.

Consulates is under the ministry of foreign affairs.

They don't share information.

at this point of time applying even with tour agent will be risky for me as i already have 2 void visas . so its other waste exercise

at least they should give a note or reason that your application is rejected due to this . its so unprofessional

now i also wonder do these thai immigartion people understand english or was my letter useless to be attached .

while i see plenty of illegal immigrants openly working and selling stuff on roads

a genuine person gets denied . perhaps they don't know how to differentiate and put all in same category

It is hard to say. Indian nationals are sometimes refused a VOA. However, this seems less common than refusal of tourist visas in India.
