Questions raised over Anutin’s military college enrolment

A former Pheu Thai Party MP has questioned the enrolment of Bhum Jai Thai party head Anutin Charnvirakul at a top military college, widely seen as a “patronage-seeking” institution for senior officers, company CEOs and politicians.

Anutin is among a couple of hundred names enlisted in a one-year programme run by the National Defence College of Thailand under the Defence Mnistry. He will attend the college as “CEO of STP&I Public Company Limited”.

Ex-MP Yutthapong Jarassathien complained that Anutin, a top politician and a construction contractor with the current government, had a high profile already and his enrolment would endanger the principle of social equality.

It would go against PM Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha’s declaration that politicians should not enroll and thus be able to seek connections with civil servants and military officers, the ex-MP said.

“This double standard shouldn’t occur and we might suppose it is because Anutin once recruited thousands of supporters to cheer the premier,” he said, referring to Prayut’s field trip in Buri Ram in May, where he was greeted by tens of thousands of locals, as arranged by Anutin and local politician Newin Chidchob.

He also called for Prayut to investigate how Anutin got to enroll in the course.

Is that the same meeting where the the Master of Ceremonies in welcoming the PM shouted into the PA system.

"....the more you clap the more money he will give you".

What a politically sick country Thailand is.

Someone needs to put A nutin soon?

Bhum Jai Thai - another political party pledging allegiance to Prayuth in the next election. Why bother having the election? The swing'o'meter is already pointing to 5 more years of Junta control. I suppose it's just for show to please the international community.

To be honest I have no problem with 5 more years, but not with Prayuth. Can't they get someone else to lead. Anyone else, there are amoeba on Saturn that have more of a sense of humour than him. I'm sure that's what most Thai's are praying for down the temple these days. That and the lottery numbers.

Can't wait to hear that, given most high profile investigations in Thailand come up empty.   His name will be removed and the cowardly Prayuth will say " I du'no "

Because this guy is already so rich he should not be allowed to enroll in this nepotism network otherwise the wealth disparity becomes too big?

How about stopping the whole practise of corruption and nepotism?

Of course you wouldnt support that as that profits you and your buddies.

Its like saying you can rape and murder a maximum of 10 people. Not more, otherwise you dont leave enough victims for the rest of us which isnt fair.

Yes it's all so unfair that PTP have been removed from the trough and they don't like it!

A bunch of leeches thriving in a "get rich quick" kelptocracy was wonderful for them - being frozen out and seeing others enrich and advance themselves must drive them nuts with envy.

Doubt he ever wonders why he's here moaning whilst some fly the world in their private plane and enjoy the billionaire life style.
