Does passport holder have to be present for transferring stamps to new passport

For non-immigrant O visa on 12 month extension already.

Just wondering if company secretary could do this at same time as next 90 day report, without presence of passport holder?  Which forms are required for this transfer?

Yes, it's a new requirement by immigration.......called getting off your lazy backside.

Unlike a 90 day report, where anyone can make it on your behalf, there is nothing in the regulations stating the same conditions for transferring stamps to a passport. In agreement with Joe, you'll have to do it in person.

Thanks for that.  Do you know the number of this form and is this the latest version?

Do they require all the usual paperwork, such as extra copies of photo pages, stamps, extra photos etc.

If extension was done at Chamchuri One Stop, could this transfer stamp process be done there, or is a trip to Chang Wattana required?

There is no form number for it. Some offices may have their own form for you to complete. Here is a PDF version of it: Transfer Stamps To A New Passport

No photos needed. You will need copies of both passport photo pages. Copies of the pages that that have the visa used for the entry that has been extended, entry stamp and most recent extension of stay stamp. Some offices may want a copy of every page that has a visa or stamp for Thailand on it.

You can do the stamp transfer at the one stop center.

I am British and have done this twice at Jomtien in the last 2 years as I have 2 passports. Both times I wes required to get a from from the British Embassy in Bangkok requesting the change be made. They will send you a standard form and you fill in the blank spaces with your details. The service is free and can be organised with a couple of emails to the embassy. They send it to you vis EMS. They can be picked up from the embassy if you are in Bangkok. 

A friend did this recently and he was directed to Key Visa who provided the form. THe IO did question why he was using a photocopied form rather than an original but they did accept it.

The original from the embassy has an embossed stamp on it so the difference was quite clear

Personal attendance must be a new requirement, I have changed passports several times and have never had to be present to do the changeover, it was always handled by the Company's HR staff.
