Unapologetic Fraser Anning under fire from all sides after ‘final solution’ Senate speech

Queensland Senator Fraser Anning has no regrets and won’t apologise after calling for a “final solution” to immigration in his widely-criticised maiden speech.

 

Senior Turnbull minister Josh Frydenberg, whose parents were Jewish immigrants, earlier demanded Senator Anning immediately retract his “ignorant and insensitive” remarks.

 

Senator Anning, from The Katter’s Australia Party, is unapologetic for using the phrase historically associated with the World War II Nazi Germany plan to murder Jewish people on an industrial scale.

So you have proof that Mr Anning's forebears came from convict stock? Or are we just expected to take your word for that?

Look he was initially elected from the Perils of Pauline party and switched to Bob Katter. They all harvest the yokel vote. Admittedly the aforementioned yokels may have some issues, but the weirdos they vote for don't have any answers.

Most Aussies these days would be proud to trace their roots to a convict ancestor. 

What this bloke actually said was that Muslim immigration into Australia should be stopped.

He also stated that all terrorists are Muslims, and that the vast majority of Mulsim immigrants stay on welfare.

He called for immigration that favoured “European Christian” values and demnanded a plebiscite on which migrants can come to Australia.

Politically incorrect and rather unwise - but there are many who agree with him.

 

He is being accused of hate speech and racial vilification and they want him suspended.

But what is the left wing media up in arms and unhinged outrage about?

And on what are they basing their claims that he is a Nazi and Jew hater?

What he said was that the Australian people should vote on whether so many Muslims should be allowed to immigrate into Australia.

Maybe he wanted to keep up with the new colony in America, also importing convicts by the shipload at the time.

However, the new Senator was way off in what he said, but was typical of the Katter party's attitude.

There's no accounting for the strange people who are elected to government in many countries.

Yep the guy claimed all terror attacks are committed by Muslims, which is a lie internationally, as well as in Australia. The APEX gang in Melbourne is made up of Pacific Islanders as well, not all Muslim heritage. In any case the crimes committed in Oz by Muslim heritage people  are in fact contrary to Sharia Criminal Law.

 

Actually the party he belongs to, KAP, wants a total ban on Muslim immigration, not partial. BTW Bob Katter in his interview today supporting Anning made a number of false statements concerning the Muslim community and immigration / refugee policy in Oz.

I must disagree with your last few words:  politicians from both the Left and Right.

 

There are very few real right wing politicians in Australia.  They are mainly in the spectrum from 'soft' left wing to 'loony' left wing.  

Aust is essentially a socialist democracy of two ruling left wing parties that share power on a rotating basis.

Katter and Hansen represents those that are far-right, and Abbott represents those that are centre-right. They all make up less than 25% of the total.

There are far more loony-left Pollies in Aust than there are far-right ones.

The trouble is, "speaking up" is code for racially vilifying people.  When politicians make these sorts of speeches it gives the knuckle-draggers license to display their racism in public. 

 

I was in Oz in the period after Pauline Hanson's maiden speech where she said similarly nasty things about Asian immigrants.  My (Thai) wife was getting abused in public at the time simply for being Asian - dickheads in their cars shouting at her as she crossed the street and such. My own brother was ranting to me about the number of Asians in the Brisbane immigration office.  And don't get me started on my "half breed" kids.    And this all happened on Sydney's upper north shore.  

 

If the guy said 'final solution' intentionally then he's simply a <deleted>.  If he said it without realising what it alludes to then he's an uneducated backwoods hillbilly.  Take your pick.  Nothing lefty or PC about it, a person with half a brain just wouldn't do it.  Like when George W Bush used the term 'crusade' in relation to his war on Iraq.  <deleted>, I'll bet that alone has stirred up some of the terrorism that has occurred since!  

 

Senator Anning could have made the same speech without calling it the 'final solution'.  Wouldn't have given him as much publicity though, and there's a lot of them clamouring for attention with an election just around the corner.  The last election was a double dissolution which included a full senate election, let lots of loonies into the senate with tiny little quotas - and this guy is there on the One Nation ticket.  The LNP have hopefully learned their lesson and the next election will be a regular one, with a half senate election.  Not gonna be as easy to get elected, especially when you've stabbed Pauline in the back and jumped over to Bob Katter's mob.

Was'nt the speech about putting ' a final solution to immigration', did he state any race or creed. But you have decided that its something to to with Anglo immigration. I presume from your educated statement That you must be Native Australian and come from Aboriginal roots . Or are you a product of immigration and Have a problem with the Anglo population

Got to disagree with you in the last bit.

 

The words ‘final solution’ are incendiary. In the context of the immigration debate, they are a dog whistle on steroids.

 

That he decided to use them a bit later in the speech isn’t really an excuse. Of course, the usual suspects in their faux  ‘considered’ quasi-intellectual tone will without irony state that it was taken out of context.

 

All they are doing is justifying the red herring he threw out so they can now bang on about it the apparently freighted people of Melbourne who can’t walk their streets. 

 

This bloke only got 27 votes and is only in the senate because the dipsh1t who proceeded him turned out to be a nasty foreigner as well, who’d was booed out for illegally getting into parliament on the grand total of 96 votes and some machevallian preference deals. 

 

I guess these same poor petals were writing outraged letters to the editors back in 1966 when articles like this were front page. Cause you know, white people never do anything wrong.

Anning is an old Anglo Saxon surname. Primarily English. So yes, ancestors probably from The Old Dart.
