But gambling is not trading, right? Trading requires certain education, at least a trading school . All of successful traders are skillful and experienced, they "played" a lot and probably lost a lot before earning good money, meanwhile gamblers are children of fortune.

That's what I thought, the government make a rule about banning gambling, but then break their own rule. I don't belong on this planet.  When will Mars be ready?

The rule is gambling is illegal, with a couple of exceptions, i.e. the government lottery and betting on the Tote at racecourses.  The exceptions do not break the rule, they are exceptions to the rule.  What's so difficult about that?

If the rule is gambling is illegal, the rule is called a law. Which makes a mockery of your pedantically inaccurate wording to justify any form of legal gambling.

What I posted was not pedantic, neither was it inaccurate, neither was I trying to "justify any form of legal gambling" (Huh?  Why would legal gambling need to be justified?)

Just for you, here's what I said...

So I guess all the banks will be getting closed down as they are into FOREX trading. Damn must go and get my money out before they are shut down

A dual system of law. It is legal if we want it to be albeit against the law of the land

What a shame that you can't understand something so basic; the Government Lottery and Tote betting at racecourses are not "against the law of the land, they are both legal and operate within the law!

There are no exceptions to the main rule. I.e. Don't take advantage of poor uneducated desperate people. I find that difficult to accept.

Help them with education,  health care and opportunity for a job.

Betting is against the law - easy to understand. Lottery is a form of betting by any remote chance do you see the connection?

What's that got to do with my post?

Betting on the government lottery or using the Tote at racecourses is not illegal betting as it complies 100% with the law.  Why can't you see that point?

You mentioned exceptions to rules. I was just pointing out the exceptions are breaking other moral rules which make it unacceptable to good reasoning.

Let me guess - you can't even play poker...

I wish they could go after sniveling little whingers who have nothing better to do than cast aspersion at others.

For all the arrests, investigations, deportations and photo ops, he's obviously got many of his subordinates motivated. Clearly they are the ones rooting out bad guys. That is the most uniquely positive thing happening. Too bad that BJ takes all the credit though.

Just like the government lottery, that's not gambling, it's a 'game of chance' - because that's how the government describe it every time to defend it.

Also isnt "crossing the road"  here a  game of  chance? maybe they could  ban that too.

Asians love to gamble. I remember two Chinese crew members once betting their paychecks over which of two bowls of sugar at each end of a long table a fly would land on first. Once in SingaporeI I saw two Chinese gambling which of two raindrops on a window pane would make it to the bottom of the window pane first.

I think it wasn't actually forex trading, rather they were betting on the final figure outcome of the day;s trading, so more like a lottery.

Depends on what you are gambling on. Slots? Yes. You push a button and a random number generator tells you whether you have won anything or not. Poker? Well there is an element of chance but it is a game of skill. Blackjack is somewhere between the two.

Others may be able to set me straight, but the only difference I can discern between gambling and 'investing' is that 'traders' have decided among themselves that what they do is respectable. An investment? How is it still not simply a wager when all is said and done?

Like the stock market? Maybe an educated gamble?

My point exactly. It's still gambling.

I always chuckle at the RTP and Tourist Police picture boards when they "crack" a crime. Hilarious.

The question is not how risky is online Forex trading. It’s if you’re willing to risk it at all. Of course, like any other stock market, Forex trading is risky and you can lose everything right from the start. That’s what some  of my friends went through. But with the right trading platforms, like https://thinkmobiles.com/blog/best-forex-trading-platforms/ and the right learning guides, you can achieve something. I have to say that safety should be your number one priority. Only then can you trade and do your operations. If you’re willing to learn, improve yourself and risk, then this is for you. If you fall down once, remember that you can easily get up and start again.
