    1) showed a cop tying a cloth and using a cord to secure a little girl to her dad on a motorcycle - that's dumb 2) A video posted on the Facebook page of police - that's dumber 3) public com

  • To dumb to comment. Unfathomable!

  • Police advised the man to get a helmet? What the hell, police should have not allowed him to leave until both father and daughter were wearing helmets.

The next driver was a farang(alien) without helmet, so they fined him 1000 bath, to make it right

It’s the Thai way on the highway and die way too young.

Evidently no thought of telling him to walk.

but not extinction
Maybe Its evolution ?

"They then advised the dad to get helmets and waved him cheerily on his way"

People who are stupid enough to ride without helmets should copy this story in their phones and, if caught, plead with the cops to advise them to get a helmet and wave them cheerily on their way.

To sad for words. :saai:

Yep , one more cop not doing his job. But likely made most Thais smile.

More daily b*++*<^$!  Who's running this asylum!

At least when the accident occurs, they will CRASH together.

Okay, not only a taxi story trend, so now police trend, too???

Notice a pattern here?

And still no helmet for either...

Thais love beating their heads against the tarmac or curb-side

Farangs just beat their heads against a brick wall in dis-belief!

And it's soo strange that thailand has the highes deadly roadaccidents of the world!

I hope the father (and policeman) are proud now, they are on internet so the whole world can see how uneducated they are.

TiT......Nothing amazes me anymore in the LoS.

Now hang on a second mate, that would mean that they would have to give them a ride home, too much trouble, and don't even try raising the matter about issuing him a with an infringement notice as that would be more work for them, dumb just getting dumber.

On a more serious note these cops have zero respect from me, just the other day I was speeding on the main road, this cop was standing near a pedestrian crossing, he saw me and started to waive his hand at waist level slightly up and down as if to say slow down and I did, with him smiling as I passed, back in Sydney I would be under 60kmh, 40khm in school zones, I would have been toast as you cannot take your eye off your speedometer in fear of heavy fines and loss of points on your licence.

Thailand is a long way off raising the bar, no fear here.

Praise worthy??!!  Are you kidding me!!??  Stupid is as stupid does!

There is no end to the stupidity in this Country.  1 minute later the foreigner got fined for not wearing a helmet.  And they wonder why we make fun...phew!!!

Like another poster said, if you can afford a bike, you can afford a helmet. At the very least put a helmet on the child. You can get them for about 200-300 baht. Considerably better than nothing.

As for the Range Rover comment, I’ve seen plenty of kids in nice cars not wearing seat belts. Seems it’s not only the poor who have a disregard for health and safety. Sometimes ridicule is the only way to get some people to take notice.

you can see kids around 10 to 12 riding motor bike in Doisaket Chiangmai.

apparently they don't care about their own lives, nor those of their children.

cost of a children's motorcycle helmet on lazada?  less than a carton of cheap cigarettes or 3-4 lottery tickets.  half that if they get a bike helmet....still better than nothing.

Thai Rath reported that public comment on the story was praiseworthy for the police.

How can the peoples ever learn what is the law if an officer does something like that?

Ok, I know i could be going

insane but what is tourist police doing at traffic check points in north east?

why are there any TRAFFIC laws in this country....this incident shows just how Police give NO regard to ant TRAFFIC LAW

I live near there…  in my village 10 year olds are riding the motor bikes (and with no helmets) whilst younger kids and even a baby are on the back!!!

There is no excuse for this.  The parents are to blame and should have no sympathy for them if their children get seriously injured or killed..... my only sympathy is for the children.

Believe it not I've seen a 600 baht helmet with the hinges for the visor fixed with self tapping screws. If you pushed the padding inside you could actually feel the points on the screws.

That is NICE........

In PATTAYA all they want is 'Money'........

University students can no longer show romantic affection to each other in public but Somchai and his young daughter can carry on cruising the streets on his motorbike with no helmets. Makes sense

what about the flip flops

Well, buy a cheap helmet that doesn’t have screw-heads protruding from the inside padding.

Did you post that believing I had actually bought one?

The expression I used was

'I have seen one'

I typed this slowly so it was easier for you to read.

???

Plus you missed the bit that it was the points of the screws that were inside, not the heads.

Do keep up lad.
