Pattaya Police open loan shark complaint center

PATTAYA:-- The Pattaya Police Station has opened a complaint center for people to report loan sharks.

 

Police chief, Pol. Col. Apichai Kroppech said the move complies with the government’s order to wipe out loan sharks across the country.

 

Pattaya police arrest around 10 loan sharks a month, but most are minor players, Kroppech said. Officers seize property and charge racketeers with money-laundering, while returning property to victims.

 

Kroppech said anyone suffering from loan sharks or exploitative contracts can file a complaint by phone, email, Facebook or LINE messaging app.

Not many people will use this comp[laint centre, as there is no point reporting loan sharks to their bosses.

When I firs glanced at the title, I read it as a complaint centre FOR loan sharks! 

I know TIT, but......

It's a number that is engaged and a cardboard cut out. That's the way we fly here

It's always good to silence the opposition. Is he on one of Prawits committee's perhaps his learning 

I am not a loan shark , I just lend money to people I trust without any interest  and believe I will get it back some day . But it never happens .

Anyway if these sharks are such a nuisance why don't they catch 'em cut the fins off and make soup out 'em .? Lot of Chinese 'ere and they like that sort of thing .. 

Eliminating the competition.

The reason why so many loan sharks exist is because people can not borrow money from the banks .

 

this will only encourage dead beats not to pay their debt when its high enough and then report the so called “loan sharks”

The locals will go back to what they did 30 years ago , back to their farms and  rice fields , a bowl of rice will keep you alive . 

I doubt many will report loan sharks, they know what the consequences will be.

Correct, and why should they? The borrowers should have known that when you borrow money, it should be paid back.
