We are speaking of Thai educators; some of them, at least, have knowledge of such tests. Any of them who went to an English-speaking country for their graduate degrees had to take such tests.

Discipline-specific tests, of course. For example, English comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary for the English teachers.

How about their comprehension, grammar, vocabulary and ability to speak and write proper English?

I imagine a major embarrassment may be the numbers of current NES teachers who could not pass such an exam.

Well, that may be the reason foreign teachers would be reluctant to take the test, but not the Thai educators; they would just administer the tests.
