RoyLee
Having difficulty getting landlord to sign lease. Staff here got me to sign it, but I can't seem to get them to get condo owner to sign off. Never met the owner. I have receipts for deposit etc. In the 5 years here and different rental contracts each time, I have agreed to or unwittingly signed off on situations that I thought could leave me holding the short end of the stick but have never been ripped off, so I am not too worried. Wondering if this just is a tax evasion scheme , or, possibly the owner has a different version and the go-betweens are pocketing the difference. If gambling wasn't illegal here my money would be on that one.
RoyLee
*update* ... girlfriend was able to get property manager to get lease signed, without much effort it seems. I asked her (gf) what the problem was, and she said the manager did not understand what I wanted. I told gf I had pointed to the unsigned place on the contract and said "yung mai sen" (not yet signed). Gf just said "kee-gee-add" (lazy).
