philcol
hope this is in the right forum. Ive just received my new replacement passport from the U.K. ( old one full) What are my choices to "register" it as my current passport ? Im in Bangkok. I was told to go to Immigration, but can I wait and do it at the airport as I leave ? I am on a VOA with a 30 day extension until 17 sept . What do they stamp in the new passport ....just the exit stamp ? or do they put arrival and extn stamps as well (i would like to avoid as many as possible ) Secondly , can I update my Bangkok Bank with the "unstamped"passport or will I have to wait for my return
ubonjoe
You can do it at the airport when you leave the country. The will only transfer the entry and extension stamp to your new passport and stamp you of the country in the it. You can use your new passport at the bank. Have your old one with you incase they want to see it.
philcol
Wow ...fast ...thankyou Ubonjoe looks like im stuck with them taking a page and a half on the old one and the new one , I hate that !! Passports dont last long , especially when the U.K. say 48 pages and then use several already
