Non O Multi Entry - Based on Marriage - Savan

Recommended Posts

I've been up to Savannakhet for the last 4 years for my Non-O-Multi Entry - Based on Marriage. Does anyone know if it is still the same routine as before or of any changes since a year ago?

I've started to like Savannakhet over the years. The first year I found it very boring but have noticed it has started to change a little. There are some nice Guest Houses  - Savan Cafe being one which is around the Night Market area. There are a few nice chilled out cafe's/bars with some acoustic music playing and beerlaos at night. I usually take the wife and we make it into a small break. I managed this time to get a flight from BKK with Laos Airlines via Pakse for around 3k baht per person one way. Immigration at the airport is very quiet and very quick. I will travel back via Mukdahan and spend a night there then fly back to DMK via one of the regional airports.

Any update would be great. Thanks.

you probably already know and i know it's not what you asked but just thought i'd point it out in case.

you can get the same visa from HCMC, same as savannaket only difference is just letter from mrs required.

if you're paying 3k each just to go to savannaket then need to stay a night in muk and hotel then flight back.

as you are in bkk non o ME from HCMC can be got in one night, direct return flights, and depending nationality no visa required for vietnam so maybe an option for some. could be quicker, cheaper and less hassle for those in bkk.

I might try HCMC next year then. I've not been over to Vietnam in 4-5 years. As I said I treat the yearly visa trip as a small holiday so I'm not rush. Mukdahan isn't bad for a night. Thanks for the post.
