Inefficient thai gardener

Featured Replies

The next door neighbor has a reasonable size front garden. I estimate mowing and brushcutting (wipper snippering) might take 4 to 5 hours max.

The thai gardener has come back again today (3 days in a row). He is extremely slow and hopeless. Day 1 is the mowing. Yesterday and today is the brushcutting. The most annoying thing is that he doesnt hold down the button on the machine like any normal person. He revs it constantly- stop start / stop start. Last month I paid him to collect rubbish in our garden and asked the wife to translate the fact that he is going to burn out his engine if he operates his machine like this. But still today rev/ rev/ rev.

If this guy is on hourly rate its going to be an expensive job for the owner. Why would anyone come back 3 days in a row to do this piss easy 4 - 5 hours max job?

A comon mistake here is assuming someone is skilled based on the tools he owns.

I try not to think about it:shock1: or I will end up posting here on TV or talking to myself. :cheesy:

I don't quite know how to tell you this, but if it is efficiency you want, you have come to the wrong country. There are countries where the trains run on time, but this ain't one of them.

Next time his grass wants cutting offer to do the job yourself......

Perhaps it may sound too obvious, but i would look for another gardener.

In my experience if a price is agreed for a specific job, its done in record speed and on to the next. If its agreed by the hour or day it will be excruciatingly slow for max revenue.

This is your neighbors garden work we’re speculating about, correct?

An even more commonly naive assumption would be that firm hourly wages, regarding general labour, exist in a forthright manner.

Heh...

????

Clearly, this man is not fit for the job...provided you have the good machine but the skills are required to produce efficient results. Next time give him garden scissors for less rev/ rev/ rev

"Inefficient Thai gardener"...yeah, that's snafu/TIT. Now finding an "Efficient" one, that would really be something.

Buy a cow.

Plus the cow won't burn out whilst stop-starting eating the grass.

tell him to cut it the old fashioned way by hand, may cost a few baht more but who cares
