rooster59 Posted September 30, 2018 Share Posted September 30, 2018 Deep South schools to improve education quality with Google's technology Tanakorn Sangiam YALA, 29 September 2018 (NNT) -Authorities in the southern border provinces held a workshop on education reform using Google for Education technology to improve teaching and learning standards. Academic from the Southern Border Provinces Education Coordination and Management Center Jiraphat Triekkaphab welcomed 180 executives and teachers in Yala province to the education quality reformation using Google for Education technologies workshop at Yala Rajabhat University. The workshop today was held for the third batch of trainees, with Google for Education Certified trainers Weerasak Sroikham and Sarocha Krobroob being the key speakers. The workshop has received support from Google Thailand, and Edutech Thailand, promoting the implementation of information technology in education, allowing teachers and students to improve their skills, their learning process, and work together creatively, in keeping with the 20-year education strategy in the southern border provinces. A total of 3,252 trainees will take part in this workshop that demonstrate the use of Google Apps For Education in classroom environment. The trainees will learn how to use already well-known apps such as Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Groups in teaching and communication, including the ability to send emails to parents in local languages, and a feature where students can work on the same assignment together remotely using Google Docs. These features are to be implemented in classrooms from primary education to university, and will allow learners to take part in their education regardless of their location, allowing teachers to closely track the progress of learners, and reduce operating costs of schools using the cloud network. -- nnt 2018-09-30 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
