  • Good. I hope this "Golden Week holiday" last for the rest of the year.

Terminal 21 was insane on Saturday.

Every mall in Thailand is insane on Saturday and Sunday.....especially on Sunday's.   Plus this weekend was the "end of the month payday" weekend since a lot of Thais just get paid monthly (end of month) or twice a month on the 15th and end of month.

The government said it had cut by 11.5 percent its forecast for the number of Chinese arrivals for the six months from July, to 5.1 million.

Every cloud has a silver lining !!!!!

Any further good news?

All TAT bull**it, from info obtained most Chinese go to Cambodia these days to enjoy their

favourite pastime, GAMBLING. Something they don't allow here. Thailand loss is everyone else's gain.

The Chinese Tourists expect a " Golden Week " Holiday, not a Golden Casket, thats why they are boycotting Thaiiand

I will admit to having a complete lack of understanding of Chinese tourists. They parade around in groups led by a person carrying a flag and each one of them is looking from side to side, as if they are likely to be attacked. They seem to think they are in danger, once they are outside of the loving protectorate of the Middle Kingdom. Very strange.

I am not a fan of chinese tourists. Less the better.

Thais dont speak Chinese ????

I had the chance to shove a few today at the Central Pier, sorry, I was not in the mood to pin my fat body up against the rail so they could walk 10 abreast.....

So, where are the Chinese tourists going to for Golden Week - Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia??

I have been hoping for & thinking the same thing for many years, for some reason they seem to have an immunity to the "Roosting" ????

It's already happening. I've been reliably informed that one of the massive worldwide brand name chain hotels in Hua Hin had only about 10 rooms with guests in it and 100's of empty rooms just a couple of weeks back and they're laying staff off right now.

They have hundreds of staff.

Chinese will go where it is cheap, the vast majority have never traveled, its only been allowed in the past few years, most would be happy to stay in China but its too expensive for them, Thailand is cheaper, if any of the above give them a better rate they will be there in their hoards.
