Bangkok to Manchester Direct Flights

We had heard that both Thai Airways and Singapore Airlines were highly likely to start direct flights from Manchester to Bangkok. This was from a number of sources both in the UK and at the Thai Airways information desk. The date that was muted by the Thai Airways girl was around 23rd October 2018. However, we can’t find any information out about this. Has anyone heard anything more concrete? It would be amazing to have a direct flight.

Very surprising that such news on short note has not surfaced.

And why should Singapore Airlines change/add a nonstop to Bangkok from the existing nonstop to Singapore?

Thai Airways booking system knows nothing about it.

Skyscanner knows nothing about for months to come.

News search to no avail.

You should really go back to your sources for at least a bit of quotable information.
