Strange  ?

Dont know if it makes any difference but I was using True on mobile using the 00600 prefix.

Use Line, just need Line installed (super easy) in mobiles and/or notebooks by both / all parties, my extended family use Line from Thailand to speak to friends In numerous countries, including: UK, Germany, Canada, Singapore, Australia and Colombia in Sth America. Works well, clear voices, totally free, all parties just need internet connection.

WhattsApp also works well and is free, got video link as well

Arnold Judas Rimmer of Jupiter Mining Corporation Ship Red Dwarf

Called 009 44 20 7730 1234 from AIS mobile.

Harrods London

One ring then announcement that it is currently closed and opening hours.

Crystal clear.

Does not sound like a problem.

The OP should give a bit more detail how the calls where done?

From Thai (SIM) mobile, fixed line, using prefix?

And you are certain that this is a problem with the phone connection?

Are you calling the same number repeatedly and get this?

Sounds like a typical customer hotline or government office

Try again at 3 AM UK time.

I'm trying with mobile phone with True and using the 009 prefix as I always have , I don't know what the other three people are trying to call with but there is four of us in different parts of Thailand with the problem , the two messages we get are . destination number unavailable and . the lines are busy . I am not doing anything different to what I have done for many years therefore I still think there is some problem with certain lines from Thailand to the UK .

I use Skype, no problem at all. Very cheap.

Maybe True's own prefix delivers better results?

009 is VoIP (phone via internet) managed by CAT.

006 and 00600

006 to UK is 5 Baht/min for fixed line, 7 Baht/min for mobile

I can't find the prices for the 00600 service.

Just called the UK, from a True mobile number, using the 006 prefix. Straight through, no problem.

Had no problem in contacting the IPC in Newcastle-upon-Tyne last week (using the 00500 AIS prefix) to confirm the safe receipt of my witnessed State Pension Life Certificate - apart from being "serenaded" by IPC with Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" the first time.
