The Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents, the Apostille Convention, or the Apostille Treaty, is an international treaty drafted by the Hague Conference on Private International Law. It specifies the modalities through which a document issued in one of the signatory countries can be certified for legal purposes in all the other signatory states. A certification under the terms of the convention is called an apostille (from Latin post illa and then French: a marginal note) or Hague Apostille[2]. It is an international certification comparable to a notarisation in domestic law, and normally supplements a local notarisation of the document. If the convention applies between two countries, such an apostille is sufficient to certify a document's validity, and removes the need for double-certification, by the originating country and then by the receiving country.

What? I have never heard of anything like this before. Is it not possible to just get a copy of your passport entry stamps and show them that you are in Thailand. At the most if needed maybe you can see if you can get something notorized by your embassy in Bangkok? I would contact your embassy and ask.

I can confirm that Greece and Thailand don't operate an apostille sysyem.

we needed some papers apostilled , but had to go to the greek embassy to get them officially signed , was quite expensive and an appointment needed to be made.

I would suggest asking your accountant if a notarised copy would be OK , as it would save you quite a bit of money

hope this helps

Thailand is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention. I think your accountant needs something like a notarized Thai tax form (showing residence for tax purposes) combined with (perhaps) an attestation at your embassy in Bangkok that the document is valid. If you do not pay tax in Thailand, I am not sure what you can use instead.
