tso310
Following the Thai B747-400 skidding off the runway last night, flights are being delayed by up to 2 hours. Returning to BKK on EVA tonight flight is 90 minutes behind schedule and TG916 is still at the gate (C") at BKK.
tso310
Runway now clear and in use but obviously delays to a/c currently delayed on long haul flights will continue into tomorrow.

tso310
I remember years ago a Qantas B744 skidding off the end of the runway at DMK. It had aquaplaned during a heavy storm. Looks like this one tried to turn off the runway and failed to make the turn. Could have been going too fast and failed on tyre grip. Not the first Thai a/c to go off at BKK due to rain. Can't recall other airlines doing this Interesting to note that there were only had 97 passengers on a B747.
