‘Big Joke’ vows to get rid of 7,000 overstaying foreigners by end of month

Acting Immigration Police chief Pol Maj Gen Surachate Hakpal, who recently got the job because of his relentless crackdowns on foreigners living unlawfully in the Kingdom, vowed on Friday to get rid of 7,000 overstaying foreigners by the end of this month.

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope Francis on Thursday received an invitation to visit North Korea and the pontiff indicated he would consider making what would be a landmark trip to a nation known for severe restrictions on religious practice, according to South Korean officials.

Bt5m of loud 'substandard' exhaust pipes seized

Police have seized 650 allegedly substandard products worth Bt5 million following a search of seven factories manufacturing exhaust pipes for Big Bike high-powered motorcycles across Bangkok, Traffic Police Division chief Pol Colonel Nitithorn Jintakanon said on Friday.
